About us

Founded and run by Laura.

Your Dog Services began with a simple love of dogs. Over 15 years of caring for animals, we've grown into a wider pet-care service, looking after dogs, cats, small animals and reptiles across the local area. Laura still meets every new client personally and manages all the scheduling herself. Today we work as dog walkers and pet sitters across Rainhill, Whiston and Prescot, and neighbouring parts of Knowsley and South Liverpool.

As the business has grown, Laura has been joined by trusted, experienced walkers who work alongside her as part of the wider team. All breeds and species welcome.

Hi, I'm Laura! I've always loved animals and, with five dogs of my own, you could say they're a pretty big part of my life! Living with five very different personalities has definitely taught me that every dog is unique, and I love getting to know all the little quirks that make them who they are. I love what I do and feel lucky to spend my days getting to know so many lovely dogs — whether they're full of energy, a little nervous, or just happiest having a good sniff and a potter about, I want every dog to feel happy, safe and comfortable in my care. When I'm not out walking dogs, I'm usually busy with family life — or probably talking about dogs!

Hi, I'm Ruth and I've had an interest in dogs since a young age after begging my parents for a dog! After our family dog passed away, I got my current working Labrador Ruby. We took her to Dogs Country Club for training and this is when I was asked if I'd like to help. I volunteered at DCC for multiple months helping with the training lessons and the day care when they were short staffed. As soon as I saw Laura's advert for a dog walking position, I thought — why not, I love dogs!

Hi, I'm Joanne! I've been around dogs my whole life, growing up with beagles and Staffies, and I've always had a huge love for animals. I'm mum to my lovely dog Willow and my little hamster Mauly, and I honestly can't imagine life without animals in it! After taking early retirement from academia, I decided to turn my love of animals into something I really enjoy doing. I'm DBS checked, fully insured and pet first aid trained, so your fur babies will be in safe hands. Whether it's a walk, a pop-in visit or a home stay, I'll care for your pets as if they were my own. I'm happy looking after dogs of all personalities, and I can't wait to meet yours!

Hi, I'm Clare. I've lived with and been around dogs my whole life, from the family dog as a kid to now having my own pack — they're my chosen children and my absolute world. When I saw Laura's post looking for subcontractors it was a no brainer; being around dogs, whether it's a pop in, a walk or an overnight stay, is the best thing ever. My own dogs are strong and giddy, so I'm confident with strong and high-energy dogs as well as more laid-back pups. I love them all!
